Restaurants

Chris has worked with a number of popular ACT restaurants including Sage, Aubergine and Akiba. This work is a collaboration involving the potter and the chef blending ideas and finding solutions. The vessel usually begins with the idea of the dish it will enhance. It starts with thinking about colours, glazes, different clays, different textures. While form is important, functionality is also key. Vessels will be stacked, washed, carried by servers and eaten from many times during their life.
